Description
The Material Analysis in Biological Systems Laboratory investigates the interaction of polymer drug delivery vehicles with the biological environment (cells, blood, proteins, and physiological temperature) using physical chemistry techniques in novel ways to design particles for drug delivery. Specifically, the lab investigates: 1) novel techniques to analyze nanoparticles in blood, 2) nanoparticle aggregation and protein corona formation in blood, 3) particle glass transition temperature in biological conditions, and 4) cellular uptake of particles and the role of particle material properties.
