Description

This grant is for general operating support for Trust for America's Health (TFAH). TFAH is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public health policy, research, and advocacy organization that envisions a nation that values the health and well-being of all and where prevention and health equity are foundational to policymaking at all levels of society. As demonstrated by an independent evaluation in 2019, national policymakers, advocacy organizations, and the media recognize TFAH as a trusted source for rigorous, timely analyses; strategic policy development; and effective advocacy on public health and prevention issues. TFAH's areas of expertise include public health infrastructure, health and racial equity in public health, emergency preparedness, obesity, substance abuse and suicide, climate health, and healthy aging. The project director, Nadine Gracia, President and CEO since 2021, has more than 15 years of experience in federal health leadership inside and outside of government. She is the first physician to lead TFAH and the first person of color.
