Abstract
The Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Bill of 2010 is the most ambitious piece of financial reform legislation since the Great Depression. Every U.S. corporation and citizen will be affected. For treasurers of financial firms like banks and brokers, the entire regulatory universe will be upended. But what will it mean for the corporate treasurer of a nonfinancial firm? The author provides a road map of what to expect, including future legislative changes and expected implementation problems. There is also a checklist for treasurers to help them handle the key issues.
