Abstract

A mixture model for growth and remodelling in soft tissues was presented. A simple constitutive and a first order kinetic model for changes in mass fraction was proposed. The theory of constrained mixtures and postulate general forms for the constitutive relations for stress and mass production for each of the individual constituents was employed.
