Abstract
We present a semi-blind iterative receiver for space-time coded data transmitted through unknown MIMO frequency selective quasi-static Rayleigh fading channels. The expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is used in the channel estimation process, while a BCJR algorithm for multiple antenna systems is used for both data detection, over the channel trellis, and decoding, over the space-time code trellis. Noise variance estimation is also performed by the receiver. Simulation results showing the diversity gain over MIMO flat fading channels are presented.
