Abstract

ADINA's capability in providing the user with the option to construct his/her own material model is employed to add a simple concrete material model. The simplicity of the model arises from the assumption of a uniaxial state of stress and it can be used for nonlinear analysis of members under primarily flexural and/or axial load. The effectiveness of the model under monotonic, as well as cyclic loading, is shown through analyses of three test problems.
