Abstract
An overview is given on the possibility of creating a Virtual Disassembly Method and Tool-set that enables teams of engineers and technicians to virtually assess the scope of problem, identify the critical parts of the product and then create a disassembly process to be used in demanufacturing. The novel aspect of this concept is that it enables teams to work on such disassembly and product identification problems over the web in a virtual, concurrent, and global fashion, truly anywhere and anytime.
