Abstract

Experimental investigation of drag of free high-temperature spherical metal particles moving in cool ambient gas was carried out. Results of measurements were compared with predictions conducted by well-known expressions of drag coefficient and considerable discrepancies were found. An estimations proposed to evaluate drag coefficient at our experimental conditions.
