Abstract
Analytical equations determine the linkage geometry, given the location of the two cusps and the corresponding rotation of the crank. The equations assure crank and rocker type linkages having favourable transmission behavior. Equations are also developed for designing adjustable linkage mechanisms for coupler curves with two cusps. Usefulness of the proposed equations is illustrated by solving practical examples using a microcomputer.
