Abstract
The high performance of computing application on current genaration clusters with the available hardware and software tool was presented and the areas for future development were recognized. The performance was shown by comparing the same application running on a large cluster with that of an high- end supercomputer. The areas for improvement were found to be the perfomance of the I/O systems on cluster system, compilation, debugging and perfomance monitoring tools for parallel applications.
