Abstract

Novel characteristics are found for dielectric waveguides when thin (less than 2 nm) layers of conductive material (guest material) are sandwiched between two polymeric films (host material) to form an artificial dielectric polymeric waveguide. We fabricated such waveguides and analyzed and measured their characteristics.
