Abstract

This work provides various simplified Bayesian-based multiuser detectors, including both linear and non-linear detectors, for CDMA communications systems. Due to the non-Gaussian nature of the problem, the Bayesian solutions are generally non-linear. Under the linear constraint, the Bayesian solution leads to the linear MMSE (LMMSE) estimator based multiuser detectors. Within the non-linear class, we present a simplified Bayesian solution, which leads to either multi-stage interference cancellation based or iterative optimization based multiuser detectors.
