Abstract
Results are presented for an equilibrium stage model that simulated an industrial heterogeneous azeotropic distillation tower to dehydrate secondary butyl alcohol with disecondary butyl ether as entrainer. Prior work is discussed and computational aspects considered. The impact of the second liquid phase on column efficiency and tray hydraulics is considered. (from authors' abstract)
