Abstract

The authors present a design for a magnetic field sensor for instrumentation or measurement applications which can be implemented using a standard CMOS process. The detailed design of a transduction circuit which uses a split-drain MAGFET operating in conjunction with a cascode-current mirror to obtain high gain is presented. This design incorporates an offset sample-and-hold as well as an output buffer. SPICE simulation of this circuit is discussed.
