Abstract

Fast magnetic field jump time-resolved LMR has been used to study relaxation of the upper Cl(²P_{1 2}) fine structure state induced by CCl₄, CF₄ and H₂O. The rate constants measured are (1.8±0.6) × 10^-10, (2.7±0.8) × 10^-11 and (7.8±2.3) × 10^-11 cm³/s, respectively, at T= 320 K.
