Abstract

Recently developed chirplet interference exciser is compared in performance, with the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and adaptive time-frequency (ATF) interference suppression algorithms. For comparison impulsive, sinusoidal and chirp interferers are used and the corresponding bit error rate vs. signal to interference ratio curves are obtained. It is observed that, only the chirplet exciser can suppress broadband interference. ATF exciser is the best for both impulsive and sinusoidal interference. DFT exciser can only be used for narrowband interference.
