Abstract
The possibility of presenting the rheological state equations of polymer fluids in the canonic form of the equations of a generalized Maxwellian fluid is analyzed in brief. This allows the development of unified programs for the numerical solution of thermohydrodynamic problems of hereditary fluids. A group of dynamic effects is considered (shear flows in channels, elongation flow in free jets, fluid impact on a rigid barrier) in which the hereditary property in moderately viscous fluids is vividly manifested.
