N2 - Recent studies have shown that a compact underwater vector sensor receiver can perform as an array of scalar sensors. Here we propose a scheme to transmit data via underwater particle velocity channels using a dipole vector sensor. System equations are derived and simulations are presented. This demonstrates the possibility of digital transmission using a vector sensor.
