Direct modification of the matrix of factors in load flow studies

Abstract

This paper describes a modification to the fixed Jacobian method in polar coordinates. This modification consists of changing the elements of the factorized matrix of factors directly to reflect the changes in the unknowns during the iterative solution process. The result is a faster load flow algorithm.
