Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

The effects of phase shifters and loop flow on power system losses is discussed in this paper. Results that shows the effect of the phase shifter at Ramapo on the losses of the different utilities comprising the North-Eastern interconnection are reported. A 5-bus system used in the literature for testing is also used in this paper and the results reported. Some of the results obtained contradict those reported in the literature.
