Abstract
The objective of this research is to develop a knowledge-based expert support system for off-line robot programming. The status of this work is presented with the primary focus being automatic path generation, sensor management and error recovery, and robust work cell kinematic and dynamic simulation. An interactive graphical editor for work cell layout and task programming is described.
