Abstract
Last year, the United States was suffering in the wake of the housing bubble. But in Europe, the housing market looked brighter. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries seemed to be recovering far more quickly. But that did not last. Over the past year, the European housing market abruptly declined. What went wrong? Why did the European housing recovery collapse?.
