Fabrication-error-tolerant, hybrid wedge plasmon polariton waveguides for ultra-deep-subwavelength mode confinement at 1550nm wavelength

Abstract

A novel hybrid plasmonic waveguide based on a triangular metal wedge is proposed. The structure could achieve ultra-deep-subwavelength mode confinement with low-loss, while its mode properties are still quite tolerant to fabrication errors.
