Abstract

It is established, that the grain size of ZnS-based luminophors synthesized by the SHS method can be varied by introducing into the initial charge some finely divided powder of the end product or a chlorine-based dispersant. The procedure improves the luminescent characteristics and allows the production of monolithic and powdery materials which are usable as X-ray luminophors and as a base for luminescent emulsions.
