Geometry processing - A personal perspective

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

With the advent of large 3D datasets, generated mostly by 3D scanning devices, geometric mesh processing has become an important field within computer graphics and geometric modeling. In this talk I will share my thoughts on what has been accomplished in this field over the past decade, where the field stands today and where I think it is going. My perspective is based on my academic and industrial experience in geometry processing over the last decade.
