Abstract
Stabilized heat transfer in flow of rheologically complex fluids in a flat channel with allowance for energy dissipation and high temperature dependence of rheological properties of the fluid is investigated. Heat transfer taking place at the outer surfaces of the channel walls to the ambient medium is assumed to obey Newton's law. It is shown that variation in the ambient temperature (under a constant pressure gradient) results under certain conditions in a sudden change in the flowrate in the channel.
