Abstract

The earlier calculations of Goode and Barrett are repeated using the super-soft-core potential of Gogny, Pires, and de Tourreil. The particular third-order folded diagram which they calculated now converges in its intermediate-state energy summation, because of the suppression of the strong short-range repulsive effects present in earlier calculations. NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Theory, effective interaction in mass-18, convergence intermediate-state summation in third order to 26a.
