Inertia effects in cardan-joint operation

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The inertia effects occurring in a Cardan-Type universal joint operated at speed are considered in the calculation of dynamic force and torque reactions. A dual-number formulation has been used so that manufacturing and installation tolerances can be considered.
