Abstract

An analytical model is used to examine the implementation of real-time digital control components in Automated Guideway Transit systems operating under model-reference longitudinal control. This model includes samplers with appropriate hold circuits to reconstruct continuous signals between sampling times to simulate discrete sensing and control actuation equipment, and pure time delay elements to represent computation and communication delays.
