Abstract
This paper presents a general analytical method for synthesizing four-revolute spherical mechanism based upon the fixed axode. Synthesis equations are developed which include a description of the linkage geometry and the axode geometry. These equations permit dimensional synthesis for four precision conditions for lines (ISA) lying on the fixed axode cone for the mechanism. An example application is presented to demonstrate this technique.
