Abstract

Cache plays an important role in most calculations, especially in matching occasions. It can improve accessing efficiency, enhance system performance, and so on. Besides being used in processors, Cache can also be used in Web accessing and storage systems to increase the accessing rate. To improve accessing efficiency and enhance performance of the massive information storage system, this paper analyzes synthetically the replacement algorithms used in processors and Web Caching. Exploring the characteristics of network attached optical jukebox, this paper brings forward a new replacement algorithm. This algorithm combines the specialty of LRFU, 2Q, LFU and MQ algorithms in order to improve the hit-rate in Cache.
