Abstract

Equations have been developed and design curves are presented to accurately estimate the mass moment of inertia of the Geneva wheel component in mechairisms used for indexing and intermittent motion applications. The curves are non-dimensiohalized so that they can be applied whatever material is used for the Geneva mechanism and whatever units are used for the calculation of the dyiranrics.
