Abstract

A method for computing the dc solution of bipolar electronic circuits is presented. Newton's method and its modifications require the inverse of the first order derivative matrix of the circuit equations at each iteration. In this paper, properties of the bipolar electronic circuits have been exploited to avoid the need of the inverse of the first order derivative matrix. This improves the efficiency of the available methods based on Newton's methods.
