Abstract
The paper describes an efficient algorithm that determines the location and the orientation of different size boxes on a multiple-layer pallet. An integer linear programming model has been developed to achieve optimal pallet stability and utilisation. The results of the proposed algorithm are presented and compared with other results of existing algorithms in the published literature.
