Abstract

A symbol based aposteriori probability (APP) decoder for packetized variable length encoded source indices transmitted over wireless channels was discussed. There was some redundancy between adjacent indices due to delay and complexity constriants for the quantization stage. The corrections were modeled by a first order stationary Markov process with index transition probabilities.
