Abstract

Selection of the unique self-similar Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner asymptotic regime in the late stages of ripening crucially depends on the double-exponential front of the initial distribution generated during the earliest transient nucleation stage. This is confirmed by numerics, and some analytical approximations for intermediate non-self-similar distributions are suggested.
