Abstract
Interference adaptation dynamic channel allocation (IA-DCA) schemes have been shown by several-researchers to be a promising channel assignment method. However, these investigations were not supported by theoretical studies. This paper attempts to fill that void. In order to analyze the performance of IA-DCA in the optimum case, a concept called channel reuse zone is introduced and an idealized Interference Adaptation Maximum Packing method is proposed. We derived a performance bound for IA-DCA in forward link by using this method with a simplified propagation model.
