Abstract

In the competitive environment of today’s chemical industry, an efficient approach of experimentation is necessary in all facets of research and development. This article discusses the tools of statistical modeling and design in this perspective, and reports the development of a program for the increased use of these tools at Hoechst Celanese Corporation, an international chemistry and polymers company based in New Jersey, USA.
