Abstract

Thin film CIGS modules on 0.43 m2 glass substrates are now being fabricated using a vacuum process suitable for large-scale production. Diagnostic techniques are described for monitoring the Cu-rich/Cu-poor transition, and for measurement of local I-V curves on a monolithic plate. Module powers up to 27.7 W (7.0% aperture area efficiency) have been achieved.
