Radiation-driven phase drift in stochastic nonlinear Schrdinger equations

Abstract

Soliton perturbation theory predicts an incorrect phase distribution for solitons of stochastically-driven nonlinear Schrdinger equations. We propose a simple variational model that accounts for radiation and produces the correct phase evolution.
