Abstract
In this work, we show by explicit computation of cross sections for the allowed main line (L-edge) and double-electron (LN- edges) which transitions are expected to be observable. In addition, the excitation energies of all of these allowed transitions are given. This is carried out for Xe and elements of the sixth row of the periodic table (Cs through Rn).
