Abstract
The use of fluoroborate as a replacement for other toxic ions in electroplating is becoming wide spread. Although discharge limits for fluoroborate have not been established its hydrolysis potential could lead to environmental concern. Results are presented on the removal of this ion in an aqueous system by the use of ion flotation with a surfactant additive.
