Abstract
The aim of this special issue is to collect the latest developments and achievements in systems control and automation areas using Petri nets. The papers included in the issue cover deadlock control at logical and time levels, the modeling and analysis of cluster tools in semiconductor and automated manufacturing systems, the process planning for wastewater treatment, fault diagnosis, and control implementation. We hope that our readers will benefit from and be motivated by reading this issue.
