Abstract

State Dependent Algebraic Riccati Equation Filter (SDAREF) has been successfully applied to a Rapid Thermal Processing system. SDAREF with a special parametrization of dynamics and sensor model (optical pyrometers) gives substantially better results than the Extended Kalman Filter.
