Abstract

For the past several years there has been considerable development of THz imaging systems and their application to 3D computed tomography. In this work, the methodology of 3-D pulsed THz computed tomography using the Radon Transformation is applied to identify the internal defects of natural cork stoppers. It is observed that one can clearly distinguish between internally defective and non-defective corks using the reconstructed 3-D images.
