Abstract

In this paper, we present a systematic method for multiple symbol detection of differentially encoded MPSK signals of a wireless system with two transmit antennas and multiple receivers. Compared to the existing pair-symbol detection method and four-symbol detection symbol detection method, respectively, the proposed method keeps such advantages as providing full spatial diversity, no requirement on channel state information at the receiver, and achieving coding gain due to multiple symbol detection. Moreover this systematic method can be naturally extended to systems with multiple-transmitter (beyond two) and multiple-receiver.
