Abstract

A study was performed on the structural and electronic properties of Ce-Ca mixed-metal oxides. The techniques used were synchrotron-based time-resolved x-ray diffraction (TR-XRD), x-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES), Raman spectroscopy (RS), and first-principles density functional (DF) calculations. The results showed that doping with calcium induces relatively minor variations in the cell dimensions of ceria.
