Abstract
The paper deals with calculation of thermal properties of iron-copper pseudo-alloys produced by iron powder sintering with subsequent copper melt impregnation. To evaluate composite material behaviour under operation conditions the relationship of structure to thermal conductivity should be determined. The structural model has been chosen which combines the concepts of elementary iron cells with copper closed inclusions and of interpenetration of iron and copper skeletons. On this basis the expressions have been derived which allow analytical estimation of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of iron-copper composite materials. The model proposed has been considered for pseudo-alloys with copper contents of 15 to 25 %.
