Abstract

Lithium Chloride (LiCl) was used as a tracer to analyze the flowthrough performance of a mechanical and diffused aeration process at two different activated sludge plants. A slug of aqueous LiCl was dumped at the entrance of each tank and effluent samples were analyzed using an atomic adsorption spectrophotometer.
