Abstract

We present a semi-blind iterative receiver for space-time coded modulation, which makes use of a hidden Markov model for the MIMO Rayleigh channel. We compare the performance of the proposed Markov receiver with that of an EM-based receiver for a set of different Doppler products. Simulation results show that the EM-based receiver is a better option for slow or moderate varying channels, while the Markov receiver outperforms the EM-based receiver for faster varying channels.
